04.03.2010 BRUSSELS - Following the initiative of DG MOVE and SEETO Steering Committee, on March 04th, 2010 European Commission had organized Information Day on the Latest Initiatives in Transport Policy. According to agreed subjects of interest various presentations were made: - Latest development on the Transport Community Treaty was presented by Mr. Francois Begeot from DG Mobility and Transport; - Mr. Mate Gergely from DG Mobility and Transport presented European Common Aviation Area (ECAA) Agreement, its history and future from the perspective of European Commission; - Danube Strategy was presented by Mrs. Natalya Apostolova from DG ELARG; - Future development in the railway policy was presented by Mr. Frank Jost from DG Mobility and Transport; - Mr. Helmut Adelsberger from DG Mobility and Transport presented two very important subjects: Core Network Planning and TEN-T Policy Review; - Western Balkan Investment Framework was presented by Mrs. Rachele Gianfranchi from DG ELARG; - Presentation about Road Safety was done by Mr. Jean-Paul Repussard. SEETO SC and Secretariat were very grateful with given opportunity to hear latest updates within transport sector and hope that DG MOVE and DG ELARG will be able to organise similar meetings in future.
